New European Bauhaus Festival I 2022

As AnkaraAks, the Young Spirit of the Capital, we aimed to start a movement that will spread to the world as the pioneer of the New European Bauhaus initiative in Ankara and Turkey. In line with this goal, with the cooperation of the EU Ankara Information Center and the contributions of the European Union Delegation to Turkey and the German Embassy, ​​the participants consisting of design, art and architecture disciplines students (architects, interior architects, painters, urban planners, industrial engineers, etc.) will be called “Past - Present - Future”. After all this process, we wrote a manifesto for our future with the new perspectives gained and we took action as the pioneer of change with this “Renewal Manifesto”.

Our aim is to advance the New European Bauhaus movement and build a sustainable, inclusive and beautiful future by announcing the Renewal Manifesto at local and global scales.

We envision a world that is polyphonic in the future, where consumption is reduced, design is inclusive and non-standardised, where we think with nature, not against it. In order to realize this dream, we will continue nature and culture into the future by thinking about the past, shaping the present.

Our event, Young Spirit of Renewal, reflects a polyphonic and interdisciplinary approach. We want to announce this event, which we started locally in Ankara Turkey, to the whole world and to Europe in order to connect different cultures and think about the climate crisis at different scales. We create a multidisciplinary perspective on the climate crisis and sustainability. We organize the event with a perspective from every scale of design and from different fields. We planned to do this by intersecting the Renewal Manifesto with participants from different sectors and different cultures and projects at the festival.
