UrbanJam
Urbanism + Gamejam
The UrbanJam project, which combines the Urbanism + Gamejam concept, was implemented as different events with different participants in two cities, Ankara and Istanbul. The project, which was realized in Ankara with the support of the British Council Creative Collaborations Grant Call, later attracted the attention of the Istanbul Planning Agency and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality was realized for the second time.
Negotiations continue to ensure that this project, which we have developed in the future, will inspire solutions to different problems in different cities!

Aks+ Future Studio, produces new fictional worlds and scenarios in the construction of the future by creating playable interfaces while developing inquiry and criticism on the subject. Within this studio, which was supported within the scope of the British Council Creative Collaborations Grant Call, between 11-15 January 2023, it produced an interdisciplinary focus on the future of cities with the theme of 'future of cities'. We have organized UrbanJam, an accelerated game development event. Within the UrbanJam event, leading names of their sectors such as Kaan Öncüoğlu, Arzu Çelik, Işıl Baysan Serim, Erhan Karakoç, Bartu Yurtseven, Jasmin Deniz Karataş, Aktan Acar, Güven Çatak, Tuna Mert Topuz took part as speakers.
UJ.02 İstanbul
UrbanJam took part in the Istanbul Planning Agency (IPA) as an event that brings together the disciplines of architecture, urbanism and game development. In UrbanJam, teams or individual participants were expected to develop games focusing on the future of Istanbul based on the future vision and goals specified in the "Vision 2050" file. UrbanJam is open to those interested in architecture, interior architecture, urban planning, landscape architecture, game design, game development, game programming, 3D and Graphic Design. The age limit of the event is between 18 and 30 years old. Teams of 3-6 people from different disciplines or young professionals and students with individual applications participated in the event.
Aks+ Future Studio develops answers and methods to the question of what cities and places might be in the future by taking advantage of the speculative, boundary-pushing and improbable structure of video games. It interacts with livable and playable virtual worlds created with the dynamics of game engines, and develops solutions for the urban processes of the future by using gamification principles as a method.
